the D50 only takes SD cards. there may be a firmware update that can have it use SDHC, but right now SD is the only card. I have a D50 as well and while I've never attempted to use an SDHC card in it, my understanding is it would not work properly. In theory a firmware upgrade from Nikon would fix the problem, but they don't seem to be interested in supporting older cameras with firmware updates.
